Meet Cocoa Press: the World’s Sweetest 3D Printer
Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics junior Evan Weinstein attended the World Maker Faire New York last month to show off a creation more three years in the making: Cocoa Press, a chocolate 3D printer. Rather than melting and extruding plastic, it starts with Hershey bars to make edible designs and shapes.
Weinstein spoke to Make Magazine about the origin of the idea, the breadth of research he had to do to make it a reality, and applying classroom and machine-shop skills along the way.
